The Lion Pub

The Lion Pub is located on Thepprasit Soi 8 close to the Eden hotel. It claims to be the the largest, and most popular, Sports bar in Pattaya although we think Retox Game On might dispute that these days. It recently underwent a full renovation with the TVs increasing from 12 to 20 including one huge 84″ screen. All major sports and events are available.

The bar and the kitchen are open from 8am until late.

Food is available all day. The kitchen serves European style food, from steaks to sandwiches and a Thai menu, Plus daily specials. There is a full menu available on the website – see link below.

Happy hour runs from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday – Friday.

The bar itself is located on the gorund floor of the Liberty Mansion guesthouse where 18 rooms are available. Each guestroom features amenities such as air conditioning, daily newspaper, desk, television, television LCD/plasma screen, shower, mini bar and microwave.

  1. I went in the Lion Pub for the first time ever on Sunday evening, quite early. Driven past it many times but never ventured in before. The first thing that hits you when you open the door is the sheer size of the place – its huge. I didn’t count the TVs but must have been close to 20; showing a very varied array of sport from ladies rugby to baseball and the Old firm game. The owner/manager came over to me and introduced himself, many would not, and asked if there was anything i wanted to watch but the football was what i was there for and that was on. He seemed a nice guy! I didnt eat but went through the menu – its very big and the food I saw being delivered to other tables looked the part. I would guess around 25 customers in the bar. In most bars this would be a great number for early evening (approx 6.30 pm) but it did look a little sparse due to the size. Will go back soon on a live music night and to try the food. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
